Galaxy S5 G900F Android Security Maintenance Updates for April 2017

If you owned the international variants of the Galaxy S5, the SM-G900F models, then you should see an update landing on your device this week.  If you might have thought that this is some kind of Android 7.0 Nougat update; No, it is not! This update is still part of the monthly Android Security Maintenance Released or (SMR). This time around it’ll bring the April 1, 2017 Security patches.

This is also a unbranded version and it will be hitting the factory unlocked Galaxy S5 throughout the Europe regions.

Again, these updates will be deployed in stages, and it will take several days before the deployments finishes. However, if you haven’t received the notification message, you may manually check the update from time to time until it tells you that the new update is available for grab. Simply just tap on your Galaxy S5  Settings > About device > Software update > Check for update.
