Another wave of update arriving on Galaxy S5 owners in Southeast Asia.  An update dubbed with build number G900FDXU1BOJ1 to which it's still an Android 5.0 base. T-Mobile is once again sending out an update Galaxy S5 (SM-G900T)to which will now bump it's current Android 5.1.1 OS to build  G900TUVS1FOJ4. Accroding to T-Mobile, the G900TUVS1FOJ4 update will not going to bring any new feature but just another security updates.  This is another episode of a maintenance update to address the recently found Android OS vulnerabilities in MMS services.  The G900TUVS1FOJ4 will now replace the previous released build G900TUVU1FOG6 way back in August.

AT&T Galaxy S5 5.1.1 OTA update build G900AUCU4COI5, Brings Android for Work and Ultra Power Saver mode fix

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900A) is finally getting its Android 5.1.1 OTA update that bumps to build G900AUCU4COI5 from previous Android 5.0 G900AUCU4BOF3. The update will not only move the Android OS to Android 5.1.1, but the latter also brings along some additional features and system enhancements. The addressed changelog says that it includes the Android for Work, a security update, and a fix to Ultra Power Saver mode for devices using on device encryption.

AT&T Galaxy S5 OTA Update version G900AUCU4BOF3, Fixes for Stagefright bug

AT&T has just announced the release of  a new update on Galaxy S5 SM-G900A. The update will be sent out via Over-the-Air and dubbed with build version G900AUCU4BOF3.  The latter include a security patch to fix the Stagefright bug that surrounds on some infected apps that one have had downloaded and a website that was  just designed to bug any Android smartphones and tablets when a user visits on it.
AT&T released a software update for the Samsung Galaxy S 5 (SM-G900A) on August 5, 2015. The update is available to customers to download via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA). Wi-Fi is required for the update.

Sprint Galaxy S5 OTA Update version G900PVPU3BOF6, Not the 5.1.1 Lollipop yet but the Factory Reset Protection refreshment

Sprint Galaxy S5 new Lollipop update comes with build version G900PVPU3BOF6 has recently sent out via Over The AIr (OTA). This isn't the Android 5.1.1 update yet like the one's on T-Mobile Galaxy S5 update but stayed still in Android 5.0.

It might not be the awaited 5.1.1 Lollipop but according to the changelog details, it says a "Factory Reset Protection Updates". It simply means that the latter will bring an additional improvements to factory reset protection that has been added and found on the previous update build version G900PVPU2BOD3. This stuff is basically the Reactivation Lock that can be found in the device Settings>Security>Reactivation Lock. To  enable this feature is to simply mark the check-box, of which will also allows the owners to set a password on it.  The process simply activates the Factory Reset Protection to which other people cannot reset the device without the owner's password.

AT&T Galaxy S5 Gets New Lollipop OTA Update, now bumps to version G900AUCU4BOF2

AT&T Galaxy S5 (SM-G900A) is getting new Android 5.0 Lollipop update that will now bump up the build version to G900AUCU4BOF2. It only mentions that it brings performance and security enhancements, according to the initial changelog details.

The update file size is around 296MB which  technically can tell us that it is just a minor OTA update but there be something on purpose the update may bring. Noting that AT&T already sent out the first Lollipop OTA update bringing several new stuff in it.  So the latter might just a little bit optimization to the former released.

Looking at the firmware build details, the "kernel version" itself has stayed similar to the previous "G900AUCU3BOC4 5.0" update. Once the kernel version has stayed it's basically tells us that there is no any new visual differences and any adverse effect when it comes to the UI but might be some additional improvements to the device performance.  Adding to that is the mentioned "security enhancements", which basically brings a new batch of patches to the OS  for the security protection of the phone.

So make sure to check the update right now as it was already started rolling out via Over The Air. Of you haven't receive the notification message yet, just simply tap your phone's Settings>About device>Software update>Check for update.

Verizon Galaxy S5 Lollipop Update version G900VVRU2BOE1, brings Fingerprint Scanner, Galaxy Apps and Do not disturb button

Verizon has sent out another Android 5.0 Lollipop update on Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V).  The new 5.0 update comes with build version G900VVRU2BOE1 (LRXT21.G900VVRU2BOE1) and brings some few stuff  such as the multicast (eMBMS), fingerprint for EAS authentication, new LTE bands connectivity supports, remove softcard, and the  “GALAXY Apps” app store will be auto installed on to the device.

The update also includes the removal of the  “Interruptions” button,  and replaced by the “Do not disturb” button to simplify silencing phone with one touch. But the other valuable part of the update is the Fingerprint Scanner which can be use to unlock the phone by those who already have a Microsoft Exchange accounts.



The G900VVRU2BOE1 is now officially the 4th Lollipop update landed on Verizon Galaxy S5 devices.  Stayed still in Android 5.0 base, which is apparently not the Android 5.0.2,  just like the ones found to  its successor — the Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920. According to Verizon Wireless support (pdf) the update will be available via Over-The-Air (OTA) which technically starts from July 1.  So just keep an eye of it through your Galaxy S5 settings, from Home Screen tap Apps>Settings>About phone>Software update.
